About our Story

EVERYBODY'S GOT A STORY. THIS ONE'S MINE.

I'm from Philadelphia. Raised in a house where love showed up in structure, not softness. Where you got up early, you did what was expected, and you figured the rest out on your own.

My father was a veteran. Army. The kind of man who didn't talk about feelings — he talked about standards. He showed up every single day. Not because it was easy. Because that's what a man does. He raised me with everything he had, and some of what he carried, he passed down without meaning to.

My mother worked at the American Red Cross as a phlebotomist — a woman who spent her days giving to other people, then came home and gave some more. She showed me what quiet sacrifice looks like. What it means to serve without needing applause.

I had an older sister who was always in college. Always pushing. Always going after the next thing. Watching her taught me something nobody sat me down and explained — that if you want to get somewhere, you have to push yourself there. Nobody's coming to carry you.

And then there was GG — the woman who saw something in me before I could see it myself. She told me to write. Not as a career. Not as a dream. Just — write. Put it somewhere.

"Raised Not Reached" isn't a brand name. It's a testimony.

I wasn't reached by a program. I wasn't saved by a system. I was raised — by a father who stayed, a mother who served, a sister who pushed, and a grandmother who believed. I grew up on Philly streets where the world will test everything that was built into you. And I kept going, even when it was hard. Especially when it was hard.

For years, the stories built up inside me. Stories about the men I grew up with. Stories about the fathers who were there but nobody talked about — because the world only tells one story about Black men, and it's not the one I lived. I wanted to tell the truth. That Black fathers are present. That Black men hold themselves accountable. That we raise our children, we stay in their lives, and we fight for our families even when nobody sees it. So I finally wrote it down. And it became a book. And that book became a voice. And that voice became everything you see here.

I'm a father of four — two sons and two daughters. Twelve years married. My kids will never wonder if their father is coming home, because I'm already there. I'm the brother who protected his sisters. The uncle who showed up. The man in the room who tells you the truth even when it's uncomfortable — because somebody has to.

That's what this brand is. Raised Not Reached Productions exists to tell the stories that need to be told — about fatherhood, about manhood, about the women who hold everything together, and about the choice every person has to make when life hands them anger.

ANGER WITHOUT DIRECTION IS DESTRUCTION. ANGER WITH DIRECTION IS POWER. THE DIRECTION IS YOUR CHOICE.

Every book I write, every product I create, every piece of content I put out comes from that philosophy. It's for the man who was never taught how to feel. It's for the young woman who was told she wasn't enough. It's for the kid standing at a crossroad right now, trying to figure out which version of himself to become.

I'm not a celebrity. I don't have a stage or a ring light. I'm a man from Philadelphia who turned his life into a lesson and put it on the page — because we all have a story to tell, and mine might be the one somebody needed to hear.

THE BOOKS: Raised Not Reached — Where it all began. A father's story.

The War at Home — A novel about grief, legacy, and the war inside every man. I Am That Voice — Fifteen stories written for young women — from a big brother who meant every word. This is just the beginning.

More books are coming. More merch. A YouTube channel. Speaking engagements. A movement that's bigger than me — because it was never about me. It was always about the people who needed to hear what I had to say. Some lessons aren't taught. They're lived.
